Happy Thanksgiving from Credit 101!
One of the great things about Thanksgiving (beyond the food) is that it remains (somewhat) aloof from the materialistic spending frenzy that is associated with the holiday season. Indeed, since we don’t buy gifts for each other — or even do much decorating — in connection with Thanksgiving, it is a time to put the credit cards away and enjoy what you already have.
I am grateful for:
- Family
- Friends
- A job I can do from home
- Health
- Ability to help others
There are lots of reasons to be thankful this season — reasons that have little to do with material possessions and money. And I think that’s why I like Thanksgiving so much. It’s a time to revel in contentment, rather than to be wishing we had more.
I hope we can all take a few minutes, before the Christmas craziness descends upon us, to be grateful for what we already have.
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
